Bihar Elections: Ahead of the Bihar Assembly Elections, tight security arrangement has been done at Nitish Kumar's Patna residence. The security has been beefed up outside his residence as party leaders have started protest against not getting Bihar poll ticket. It is to be mentioned here that on Tuesday, several leaders and workers of Janata Dal (United) launched a protest outside Nitish Kumar's official residence in Patna. The protest was started after being denied tickets for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.

Due to the rising tension outside Nitish Kumar's residence, police and security personnel cordoned off the area outside his residence. Despite, tight security deplyoment large inflow of protesters and party workers were witnessed outside the CM's residence. 

What former legislator Gopal Mandal said?

Former legislator Gopal Mandal, speaking to reporters outside his CM's residence said that he would continue to be outside until the Chief Minister meets him.

"I came here to meet the Chief Minister and will remain seated until I meet him and be assured about getting the ticket (for Assembly polls). I will wait for him, and I believe my ticket will not be denied. Security personnel may charge the baton if they wish," he said.

Meanwhile, Ajay Mandal, JDU leader and sitting MLA from Bhagalpur, had submitted a letter to Nitish Kumar, offering to resign from his parliamentary seat.
